Let’s fight animal cruelty one step at a time!
Together, staff and volunteers from the Victoria Branch and Wild ARC are proudly walking for animals on Sunday, September 8th. We are walking because we believe in supporting those who cannot speak for themselves.
Your donation today will help local dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, bunnies, other critters and wild animals from all over our region. These animals need our help. Donations to the BC SPCA fund cruelty prevention and education programs, and the enforcement of animal cruelty laws. With their team of specially trained constables, the BC SPCA is making strides. But there is still more work to be done.
To put it in perspective, last year, the Victoria Branch cared for over 1,500 animals, adopted out over 1,300, emergency boarded about 70, saw more than 1,250 youth at camps and workshops, returned lost animals to their owners, and dealt with the impact and intake of way too many animal cruelty cases and hoarding seizures.
And Wild ARC, being the only wildlife rehabilitation centre on southern Vancouver Island, helped more than 2,800 sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals last year!
This September, our team will be putting our best paws forward to walk with animal-lovers across B.C to help the BC SPCA rescue and care for abused, injured and abandoned animals, and work to prevent cruelty before it occurs.
Please donate if you can and together we can put our foot down on animal cruelty.
Thank you in advance for your support!
