Paws for a Cause is the largest campaign in support of animals in B.C.!

Thirty-nine communities, four months of campaigning and one great cause - the animals!

The 2009 Annual Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause... Walk for the Animals raised more than $1 million dollars! More than 15,000 animal-lovers participated, showing their support and lending a "paw" to help animals in need.

Paws for a Cause is the campaign you want to support! Why? Because in addition to raising crucial funds to support the BC SPCA's work, our campaign's communications program and the media attention that it receives helps adopt animals and raises awareness about animal welfare issues! And don't forget that this is a fundraiser for all animals - companion, farm and wild!

This year, Paws for a Cause took place from June to September in 39 communities across B.C. The campaign culminated with local walk events on Sunday, September 13, 2009, for two- and four-legged BC SPCA supporters alike!
